Therosteon is an early stage biotechnology company focusing on therapies and biomarkers for bone diseases. The Company was spun-off the Erasmus Medical Center in 2008 and is based on a validated technology platform –OsteoBLAST- developed in the laboratory of its scientific founder Professor Hans van Leeuwen). The technology platform has been validated through various industrial collaborations. Further this platform has delivered new therapeutic drug targets, was used to identify drug-leads and will be used to further develop pharmaceutical compounds.
The Company received a worldwide exclusive license to all IP that was generated in the department Internal Medicine at the Erasmus University in the field of bone diseases
Therosteon is located in incubator facilities of the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam and collaborates closely with academic group of its scientific founder Prof. Hans van Leeuwen.
